PRINCIPLES, LEGAL BASIS AND PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING
In accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, adequacy, relevance and necessity set out in Art. 5(1) of the GDPR, the Politecnico di Torino, as Data Controller, will process the personal data provided by the data subject upon registration on the platform www.ever-earth.polito.it (including but not limited to: personal details; contact information) for the following purposes:
- Request for information Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 6(1)(e) of the GDPR.
- Receive communications and information about additional activities related to the
- Project and other institutional initiatives of the University Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
Your personal data will be collected and processed electronically and, if necessary, in paper format.
AUTHORIZED DATA PROCESSORS, POSSIBLE RECIPIENTS OR CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS AND DATA PROCESSING MANAGERS
The data processed for the above purposes will be communicated to, or otherwise accessible by, employees and collaborators assigned to the relevant offices of the Politecnico di Torino, as well as the Project Leader and other members of the research group from the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD), who will be appropriately instructed by the Data Controller.
The content collected through the platform will be made public and accessible to other parties, such as other universities, institutions, and public or private organizations for historical or scientific purposes.
The management and storage of personal data collected by the Politecnico di Torino takes place on systems located within the University and/or external providers of certain services necessary for the technical-administrative management. These providers may have access to the personal data solely for the purposes of the requested service and will be appropriately appointed as Data Processors pursuant to Art. 28 of the GDPR.
DATA TRANSFER
The collected data will not be transferred to a country outside the European Union (so-called “third country”), except in cases where this is guaranteed by adequacy decisions of the European Commission or carried out in such a way as to provide appropriate and suitable safeguards pursuant to Articles 46, 47 or 49 of the GDPR.
DATA RETENTION PERIOD
Personal data relating to the processing will be retained for a maximum period of 3 years after the end of the project, in order to complete any ongoing publications related to the research results.
DATA PROVISION
Providing personal data is optional. However, if you do not provide your personal data, it will not be possible to create your profile on the platform.
RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT
As a data subject, you have the right to request from the Data Controller, in accordance with Articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR:
- access to your personal data and all the information referred to in Art. 15 of the GDPR;
- the rectification of inaccurate personal data and the completion of incomplete ones;
- the erasure of your personal data, except for those contained in documents that must be mandatorily retained by the University, and unless there is a prevailing legitimate reason to continue processing;
- restriction of processing in the cases provided for in Art. 18 of the GDPR.
You also have the right to:
- object to the processing of personal data, subject to the necessity and mandatory nature of data processing in order to use the services offered;
- withdraw consent previously given for non-mandatory data processing, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

COMPLAINT
